Samantha is a New Zealand-born award-winning film composer now based in Los Angeles. After working in Australia and Ireland on various film projects, she has completed her Masters in Scoring for Film and Visual Media. Sam has worked at Windmill Lane Recording Studios with various industry composers including Christopher Young, who has composed on films such as Spiderman 3, Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and Jennifer Eight; Andy Hill, former Vice President of Music at Walt Disney; Conrad Pope, composer and orchestrator for films such as Star Wars, Harry Potter and Life of Pi; Tommy Laurence, orchestrator on box-office films such as How To Train Your Dragon 2 and The Avengers; and Anna Rice and Greg Magee, composers for animation such as Zombie Hotel and The Fairytaler.

Sam works in the music department for large-scale motion picture film and television projects with JoAnn Kane Music Service, whom works on Star WarsFantastic Beasts and Where To Find ThemFamily Guy and The Simpsons. She is part of the mock up crew for Avengers: Endgame, and TV series, Orville.

Sam plays the piano, in which she has been awarded the certificate of AMEB Grade 8 in piano performance. She has also performed on the violin with the Cairns Concert Orchestra from years 2011-2014. She has featured in various musical theatre shows as cast member including operetta, The Pirates of Penzance, and contemporary comedy, Legally Blonde: The Musical (playing the role of Chutney Wyndham).


Samantha graduated with a Bachelor of Music with Honours from the University of New England, after completing her studies at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Sam is a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society, the Australian Guild of Screen Composers, Alliance for Women Film Composers, Screen Training Ireland, Screen Queensland, the Australian Performing Rights Association, Women in Film and Television New South Wales and Music Teachers Association QLD.
